WIZAD Consulting helps owner-led businesses in the Westshore and Greater Victoria renew their strategy, simplify their systems, and build a growth engine. It pairs experienced consultants with students and alumni of Royal Roads University.
Our story
Built from one project in Victoria
WIZAD grew out of Leo Nguyen’s work with Pivot Homes Group, a real estate team in Victoria, while he was a Royal Roads Master of Global Management student. The project, summarized below, showed two things.
Local owners have the ambition, but not the hours to step back and plan. And Royal Roads students and alumni bring current thinking and real capacity when they own a real business problem.
WIZAD is built to connect the two, with an experienced consultant accountable for every result.
From internship to operations partner for a growing real estate team
As a Royal Roads Master of Global Management student, Leo first proposed a three-year growth strategy and the initiatives to reach the founder’s goals. The next two sprints put them into practice and proved the results: first consolidating systems to streamline operations and cut costs, then defining the business ecosystem, designing the value chain and making the digital channels work harder.

He didn’t just look for an internship; he proactively identified our operational gaps and proposed a practical strategy to move us forward.
Meet the founder
Leo Nguyen
Leo Nguyen has more than 20 years of experience in technology consulting and digital transformation, at multinational technology companies and banks, and as the founder of a mobile C2C marketplace.
He completed Royal Roads University’s Master of Global Management, then applied that training inside a Canadian business at Pivot Homes Group in Victoria.
He arrived in Canada with deep experience but no local network, the same barrier many students face. WIZAD is designed to remove it: local businesses get experienced help, and students and alumni get real projects, with one consultant accountable for every result.

Owners trust us with their numbers, their customers and their plans. These professional standards apply to everyone on a WIZAD project, including student team members.
Confidentiality
What you share with us stays with us. Everyone on a WIZAD project agrees in writing to keep client information confidential, and we will sign your non-disclosure agreement on request.
Integrity
We give honest advice, even when it means less work for us. If a project is not a good fit, we say so, and we never overstate results.
Independence
We recommend tools and suppliers on merit. If we ever have a relationship with a vendor, we tell you before you decide.
Data protection
We collect only the information a project needs, use it only for that project, and handle personal information in line with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
